My Bio

Molly Dorsman Lynch has been a musician her entire life.  Born to an Addictions Counselor/Author and a Registered Nurse, helping others came to her naturally.  So, the field of Music Therapy became a perfect fit.  After receiving her Bachelor’s of Music degree from Berklee College of Music, she performed professionally for over 15 years, and still does.  During the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic she utilized her time off from performing to return to graduate school at Montclair State University to obtain her Master’s degree in Music Therapy.  By attending graduate school during this constantly evolving and challenging time, she gained a great deal of knowledge and expertise in the field of teletherapy, and learned the most recent evidence-based interventions, research, and therapeutic techniques.  She completed her Music Therapy training at Morristown Hospital, where she primarily worked at Goryeb Children’s Hospital.  She received additional training in the NICU, the Cancer Center, Eating Disorders, and Senior Residential Care, respectively.  Molly now brings a fresh perspective to the world of music therapy by working with her clients to help them create and achieve their personal goals through the creative modality of music.  Her extensive music career gives her unmatched expertise and confidence when it comes to musical skills, whether it be using the voice, piano, guitar, ukulele, or even electronic applications for recording and production.  She is also the owner and operator of former children’s music company Music With Molly, where she created original music curriculums and provided children’s entertainment for birthday parties and corporate events.  Molly is a Board-certified music therapist and is trained in Neurological Music Therapy (NMT).  Additionally, she is currently pursuing her NICU certification through the The National Institute for Infant & Child Medical Music Therapy.  Her passion and expertise lies in working with children and adolescents.  She feels a strong sense of purpose as a music therapist and cannot wait to meet you!
